Bonfire Rookie Sawyer Deen Wins PBRJ for 15 and Under
MAMMOTH, CALIF. (April 28, 2008)—Bonfire’s Rookie Team rider Sawyer Deen jibbed his way to first place and $3500, in the 15 and under category at the Peanut Butter and Rail Jam Championships in Mammoth.
“I’m not even old enough to cash the check myself,” said Sawyer.
The course consisted of a 30 foot down tower, a 6 foot high flat rail and an enormous up flat down flat down box. It was the finest that the Mammoth Park Crew had to offer and the kid knows how to shred.

The Rome SDS Magic Bus Tour Day 1
With a little luck from Mother Nature we got set up with some amazing weather yesterday. As the bus rolled into the Summit-at-Snoqualmie, the crew got ready for its first day of shred. After a couple hours of shredding the park to warm up, it was time to shred the bus. We spotted the idea of a wallride over the bus and with some help from Krush and the park staff they made it happened. Eiki, Max, Casey and others went off on the feature, and you can see all the action this fall in the release of No Correct Way. A crew of local shreds showed up to hang with the team, throw some bomb drops on the feature, and have some of the hot dogs Max grilled up. Sun, BBQ friends and good times—thanks again to Krush and the entire staff at the Summit. Mt. Hood Meadows and Windells Snowboard Camp are in our path to the summer of shred.
The Rome SDS Magic Bus Gets Painted
Today, somewhere in the mystical woods near Snoqualmie, the Magic Bus is getting its new paint job at the hands of Rome designer Joel Brinson, Portland gallery co-owner Seth Neefus, his brother Casey, Dirty Joel, and Runke. By the end of the day, everything will be in place to hit the road.
And tomorrow, the Magic Bus Trip begins: this weekend, riders in Washington and Oregon will have a chance to shred with the Rome team.

WHISTLER, BC. (April 22, 2008) – It’s official. After a week of competing in four events Bev Vuilleumier was crowned the champion of Whistler Blackcomb’s “If Ullr Was a Girl” competition, and promptly handed a check for $25,000.
“I’m so happy,” she said after winning. The Tahoe local is just finishing up her college degree and plans to use the money to travel and shred.

“We all knew it was just a matter of time before Bev scored a big win. She’s just getting started,” said her Salomon and Bonfire Team Manager, Java Fernandez.

Smokin Snowboards has MAGNE -traction!
SMOKIN SNOWBOARDS HANDS SHOP KIDS THE REMOTE WITH THE “M.I.PRO!?” COMPLETE WITH MAGNE TRACTION & 100% RECYCLED P-TEX SIDEWALLS.
Lake Tahoe, CA: The Smokin Snowboards crew is back in Tahoe after all the trade shows and demos ready to shred and enjoy the rest of winter. We have had such a great response to our new line of Magne-Traction Boards, so we are proud to offer a limited edition custom Minor In Possession with photos submitted by kids that work in various board shops. The M.I.P. is new for 2008 and it has a unique blunt tip and tail along with the flex that is perfect for jibbing your favorite rail park or stomping jumps with the Magne-Traction Edges. Anyone who got to witness the M.I.P. knows it is 100 channels of twisted imagery straight out of the 80’s kid generation. We at Smokin are fully aware that shop kids spend a lot of time indoors left to stare into space pondering gnarly, senseless, crude, and obscene images during their hours of tending to smelly rental boots and arguments in snow snobbery.
